Senior Year

Alrighty!!! It is going to be one crrrraaaazy ass year, and I'm already a little scared and loopy. Ok and a little excited, but mainly just updates for right now. So apparently people are getting married and having babies, and I am just finding out right now. It's super crazy I can't even wrap my mind around it. A good friend of mine is having a baby and she's not that much older than I am. It's soooo surreal. Anywhoooo, other than that the school year has been mainly uneventful. Oh another friend of mine just got an amazing opportunity to go and work in New York! So I'm super excited for him, he works in publishing and that was his promotion, being relocated to New York. OOOO and I was in Long Beach for the smaller comic con that is held there, and I got to see Stan "the man" Lee, and I met Jim Lee and got him to sign my book (X-Men #1 from 1990) It was super exciting! Otherwise that is all for now, I will probably post some pictures eventually.

Oh Summer How I Love Thee...

So this past summer has definitely been way different from the others. For one I was employed for the majority (yay!) and I had summer school down in LA. So since it was such a great time I thought I would just do a run down of the summer highlights.

Classes - While I didn't like the idea of going to school during what should be my vacation, I do have some fun memories from class. Like the 3rd day of class my Geo5 professor making all kinds of popular culture references, one of my favorites is still when he basically implied that J.R.R. Tolkien's hobbits were pot heads. Also as a result of bringing our laptops to class me and a friend kept reading texts from last night and attempting to be discreet with our laughter.

Work - I love my bosses and my co-workers, they are too freaking awesome! Hahah, so basically we would play around during our downtime, playing literati and just being ridiculous all together. Especially when we would get especially bored.

The Awesomes - This refers to the fun people who made summer basically awesome, the roomies Vicki, Lauren and Jeremy and Alex and Caity. Some good times at Comic-con, and the drinkies and television. "hello vegas, we'd like more alcohol and so more beers."

NDandtheHB/Sailormoon - Oh yes that's right all the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys and Sailor Moon watching... It was basically like reliving my childhood, and so much more. We've cast for the most part our (this being me and Vicki) who we want to see in our new Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Movie. The creator of Sailor Moon is a G!

New TV Shows - Friday Night Lights (and wine), and Supernatural. 'Nough said.

COMIC-CON - EPICNESS. Johnny Depp. Tron. Twilight. EPICNESS. Swag. COMIC BOOKS. Johnny Depp. EPICNESS. Horse Drawn Princess Carriage. EPICNESS.

Family News - So I went home for 4th of July and it was the first time as a 21 year old that me and my cousins all sat around talking with beers and barbeque for my Tita Lita's birthday. It was freaking awesome. I love my family. Also my newest nephew Dominic was born, and he's going to be baptised tomorrow, and I'm happy to say he's basically adorable and friggen chubby! sidebar, his older brother Joshua is now talking so much more and has recently learned from yours truly, "What up homie?!"

So that was pretty much my summer to date, I think I got everything in there. ohhh and there was amazing cooking experiences this summer at 411, cupcakes,bibinka, and dinners galore!!

Oh and to the girls, who have been reading, I scheduled a lunch with mr. cutie, and I promise texts msgs, and calls will be coming your way.

Long Overdue: This one's for the girls

So this particular blog is for the ladies who've been on me about updating my blog. I've been really bad lately about keeping this update, but honestly I think it may be because I don't have a whole lot to say. I guess I have like a mini story about the cutie from the airport (my Karl Urban look-a-like). So he e-mailed me the other day, about how he was gonna be in Sacramento for a while and we should grab a meal. I'm not gonna lie I'm a little excited, because to be totally real, he was ridiculously hot. Like "oh my damn, I need a moment to stop hyperventilating" hot. He seems pretty fun, unlike hot boring guy. So I'm mulling over when/whether or not I'll even meet up with him. He seems pretty adamant.

This weekend is my nephew's baptism, so my whole family is gonna be in Sacramento for the weekend which should be a lot of fun. I've missed them. I think that's all I've got for now, but I promise there will be a comic-con post and one exclusively for one Miss Nancy Drew. Later kids!

GEEK GIRL IN ME.

So I just found out that they have now cast Thor and Loki for the 2011 Thor movie!! I freaking love marvel comics they just keep making me happier and happier!! So the choices for Thor and Loki, I like a fair bit, but I did have others in mind for the movie, but I'm sure that these fine fellas will do.

So for Thor it is going to Chris Hensworth, might know him from Star Trek (my new love) where he played George Kirk, Captain Kirk's dad.

I think they can do some really awesome things with him heading up as Thor, I just hope he can achieve having such a huge presence on screen as Thor. I had originally thought of Alexander Skarsgård. But I do think Hensworth will be able to bring out Thor's character just as well.

And then as Loki it's going to be Tom Hiddleston. I actually had no one in mind to cast for Loki as Thor's foster brother and enemy, and I think they did a good job with this one!


So I'm pretty excited, I'm not such a huge Thor fan, but generally I will always support Marvel Comics, even though Daredevil, and Electra were kind of disasters. Its ok I just hope they get the Thor movie on point!! Yeee!

Obsession

So it has gotten to be ridiculous now! So lately I've been crazy obsessed with one Karl Urban, mainly because he's super adorable and sexy! So I looked up a bunch of videos on you tube, and found a ton of the interviews of the cast, and little spots that they did, and all the boys are just ridiculously adorable! I love them, I've come to the conclusion that men never really become full on men, but in reality they will always be little boys on the inside.

So I'm still on the search for Anton Yelchin and Zoe Saldana interviews as I'm in my Star Trek nerd mood.

Best Friends!!!

I abso-freaking-lutely love my best friends. So today, when I finished my last final I got the best text from one of my besties, Jason. He wasn't able to make it to my it to any of my birthday celebrations, which made me super bummed! So now he's planned an "angie day," for a belated birthday celebration!! I was soo stoked! It was like the cherry on the day of finishing my finals!

So other than that, we went out to buck fifty's for dinner with the boys, and it was nice. I'd forgotten how much I liked hanging out with them. It's awesome returning to a routine with friends who you haven't seen in a while and having it be just fun and comfortable.

Also on another random note, I decided today to return back to being like nine years old and wanting a pony like crazy. I really do want a horse for reasons I can't really describe. I know ridiculously random. I don't even know why I want one. Another random note, I found a ton of my friends on twitter! score!

Not studying again.

I love when you have random moments that stir up happy nostalgia!! So today after my crazy grueling history final, I was walking back and there were two little girls playing and climbing this tree. it totally reminded me of my cousin Crissy and me when we were little. It looked like so much fun. So now instead of studying for my last final, I'm blogging and decided that I want to find a playground of some sort and go swing!! I miss it. I think I'll call my cousin today and tell her what I saw, just because I figure she'd enjoy it immensely. Okay I think I'm gonna nap for a little bit.
